About Claudia Hearst Doula Services
A little about me
From as long as I can remember, I always wanted to work in birth or in a hospital. I started college majoring in nursing with a dream of becoming a labor and delivery nurse. Unfortunately, Covid shifted my college plans. I changed my major to Child and Family Development and graduated from the University of Akron in May 2023. I still wanted to work with birth so I began researching and found out what a Doula was. From that moment on, I knew that was what I was meant to do. I am certified as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Breastfeeding Counselor through International Doula Institute.
I am 22 and married to my husband George. We attend a church in the Akron area. I do not have any children currently, but would love a big family one day. I have worked in a pregnancy clinic and am very knowledgeable about all things birth. Helping women have a birth where they feel in control is a passion of mine that I would love to walk through with you.
My Mission
My name is Claudia Hearst and I strive to provide compassionate care to women and families throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. I am certified through the International Doula Institute and have a passion for women and birth. I want to see every woman approach birth confidently and come out on the other side more empowered.
My Services
I offer a range of services including comfort techniques, birthing positions, childbirth education, and postpartum support. My goal is to empower women to make informed choices about their care and to provide a safe, supportive environment for labor and delivery.
My Philosophy
I believe that birth is a natural, normal process and that women have the right to choose how, when, and where they give birth. I support a woman's right to make informed decisions about her care and strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all families.
