I love hearing about birth stories and how it went from the start of labor through after the baby has been delivered. In hearing many stories and attending births, I came to the conclusion that women, although they are the most important part of labor and birth, are not the first priority. Women are pressured to go along with whatever the doctor says or needs and her plans are set aside. I want women to be able to experience a controlled, relaxed, and calm birth experience. Birth is such a miracle and being apart of that is a blessing. 

Doulas are trained professionals who provide emotional and physical support to women and families during labor and childbirth. Doulas can help women and families navigate the birth process, provide comfort measures, and ensure that their wishes and needs are being met. I am not a medical professional so a midwife or doctor will need to be present, but I will be there for you and your partner.

Doulas provide that extra set of comfort and care a doctor, midwife, or nurse may not be able to give you. We are able to focus fully on the woman and give her all the support she may need. Doulas provide resources and education on birth, labor, comfort measures, childbirth education, breastfeeding, and so much more. Being educated only creates confidence and confidence brings a better birth experience. 

Yes! I will be at your birth and with you through labor, but I am not a medical professional. I only have training and knowledge on labor positions, comfort techniques, stages of labor, child development, and more. These do not include medical interventions. 

I live in Akron, Ohio and can serve anyone in the Cleveland, Akron, and Canton area.
